Destination Wedding
My Movie Review : Destination Wedding
I obviously got to it because of Keanu Reeves. And it turned out to be a well written movie. However, I don’t entirely approve of the casting or the acting.
Keanu Reeves plays Frank, a middle aged man who is cynical of love and blames his parents for his social ineptitude. Winona Ryder plays a deshelved divorcee who is looking for a closure at her ex-husband’s wedding. The ex-husband also happens to be Frank’s half brother and they meet at his destination wedding. They team up to hate every other member at the wedding and the other characters actually don’t have any dialogue written for them. The movie progresses as the lead pair falls in love with each other.
I enjoyed the smart dialogue but felt that the actors were not doing the script any justice. Yet, it was enjoyable and can be a one time watch on boring weekends. Skip if you are not a fan of Winona Ryder though.
