Just when you think there can’t be a fresh take on World War II, here comes Taika Waititi with his coming-of-age movie about two young boys growing up in Nazi Germany.
It was cute and horrific and painful and a joy to watch. It was a great way to learn how government propaganda corrupts young minds.
I really loved the way there are checks around this little boy who considers Hitler to be his best friend. I wanted to see a more extreme version of it, but I’ll take what I can get.
Must watch to enjoy a fresh take on World War II. Don’t miss it.
