Animations from Pixar are holy grail of heartwarming content! They have been and always will be. So, I was just waiting for this movie ever since I saw the trailer! The theme is very close to my heart as I have helicopter parents myself. The movie was not as good as Encanto or Luca that came before it. But it was still good!
The kind of animation felt different as it is really hip and silly and goofy. As if a millenial made it. And lo and behold, a little bit of googling told me that the director is indeed a millenial!
Also, A plus to the movie to talk about periods. Wish they had spent a little more time on it though. I felt that a lot in the second half was predictable. Which is okay. The silly goofy panda moments made up for that!
Definitely watch it if you have a Disney+ subscription. Might be a tough cookie to watch it with family (especially elders) but hey, conversation provoking movies are the best kind of movies!
